Cakes On Carthew, owned by Ben & Linda Jaworski, is the culmination of an honoured family tradition of baking only the finest quality cakes, tortes & cheesecakes since 2000.

At our bakery and retail outlet in the Townsville suburb of Kirwan, we are conveniently located to carry on the well established tradition of quality products expertly created using only the freshest ingredients.

 
 
 

Adult Birthday

Cakes for adults are often not as easy as children. What will taste good....... what will be special? Often the simplest ideas are the most meaningful... combined with the freshest, best tasting cake you've ever eaten, and we always have the cake that will taste good, no matter who you are trying to please. Photos, old black and white ones are great for birthday and anniversaries. (Often the edible image is larger and more enhanced than the original photo.)

We also pride ourselves on doing the best by you. We want you to be happy with the end result - we ask as many questions as we can, so that what you're thinking is what we're creating.

Also, it is imperative you let us know how many guests you will be catering for, we will be able to determine an accrurate cake size for your needs.

 
 
 

Kids Birthday

With the modernization of even the simplest of things, birthday cakes have come into a whole new realm. Though the cakes in the shape of your favourite character are still possible, the expense of them tends to send parents running to the effectiveness and relative lower cost of the new technology.

Cakes on Carthew is very pleased to be able to offer Edible Images. From photos of your child, favourite pet or even a story book, Linda is able to create a very personalized image especially for you.

Also available in the “ready to go” range are many of the favourite characters, cars and football teams of the moment.

Orders for images are required three days ahead of pick-up date. 24 hours notice is required for the order of your birthday cake.

 

Tortes

With two layers of fresh sponge, filling through the middle and fresh cream you are guaranteed to have a delicious cake that everyone will want to eat!

 
 
 

Mudcakes

Covered in dark chocolate ganache and looking wicked these cakes taste as good as they look! With a heavy, moist texture you can make a little cake go a long way.
 
 
 

Cheesecake

With thirteen standard flavours and a fourteenth one that changes each month you are sure to  find a flavour to suit every cheesecake lover.
